Luxury B&B in Shropshire - that's how we describe Lyth Hill House - our extensive Shropshire breakfast is an essential part of that experience.
We aim to provide the choice of breakfast you would like, rather than a restricted menu at a set time of day. To achieve this, forward planning is essential and most special diets can be accommodated with sufficient notice. Do ask if you would prefer fresh lemon with your tea. Cold milk is always there for cereals and drinks, but should you prefer a jug of hot milk, please say so.
Guests enjoying breakfast at Lyth Hill HouseOur normal practice is to prepare and cook everything once you have ordered in the morning, so that we can serve it at its best. There are times, however, when a leisurely breakfast is not ideal for you and swift service is more important. If you know that you would like a cooked breakfast to be served promptly, please let us have your order the evening before and tell us the time it is required. Also, if you would like something not on the standard menu, please ask in advance and we will attempt to provide it! At Lyth Hill House there is no such thing as “portion control”, so if you would like more of anything, please ask.
Choose any combination of items from the first half of the menu leading up to your choice of main course.
A typical “full English” as chosen by one guest
Our bread, preserves, honey, pickle, free-range eggs, bacon, sausages and black pudding are all produced close to Lyth Hill in Shropshire. One special additions is Scottish salmon smoked in Shropshire. We have selected tea and coffee, both of which have been specially blended to work well with local Shropshire water – we hope you like them. Please help yourself at any time to locally sourced mineral water from our chilled water dispenser, supplied by Wenlock Spring Water.
A choice of home-made breads is provided for you. The toaster in the dining room is there for you to toast your bread at the right time for you. Do let us know whether or not this is helpful.
