Dining Room
Our award winning breakfast is served in the dining room at a time convenient to you usually between 7:00 and 9:30 am; and we aim to please the most discerning guest with the quality and choice on offer. We have a policy of "no portion control" and we are happy to provide for special diets, given sufficient notice. When you book, please let us know if there is anything extra that you would like to be available. A chilled mineral water dispenser is freely available for your convenience. New in 2006 is a full fridge with ice-box for guest use. Please use it for drinks, cold snacks, ice creams etc….Ice cubes should always be in the ice box for your use, too. Home-made preserves and biscuits as well as a range of quality souvenirs are available for you to buy as souvenirs.
You are welcome to borrow a wide range of books and maps, including an excellent selection of books and information on local walks, including an eight mile circular from the house. We have a diagram/sketch of our "own" 45 minute circular walk from the house - a lovely stroll taking in views in every direction and including a variety of wild-life and a deer farm. We have lots of board-games for you to use should the weather be inclement and we are happy for you to play at the dining room table if desired. The local weather forecast is printed off for you daily to help you to plan trips out and other activities.
